Wednesday

Wednesday, Pastor Isaac was able to take a longer walk in the hallway and sit up in a chair. His doctor was able to remove a tube that was keeping his stomach empty - one less tube! He is taking less pain medication today. Taking some long naps during the day between walking and short visits by family and pastors. His doctor is happy with his progress. He wants Pastor Isaac to rest a lot and gradually increase his activity while waiting for his digestive tract to begin working again. Thank you for all your prayers and love.

Thursday

This AM the doctor discontinued the epidural pain medication and changing the IV pain medication to a different one since the morphine tends to build up a side effect of bad dreams and grogginess. Pastor Isaac walked around the whole floor - a square this AM - did well, just a little dizziness after. He needs to get up several times a day to increase circulation and help his healing. He still cannot eat or drink anything including water. Between walks he needs to rest and recover, so we appreciate everyone holding back on visiting him so he will get the rest he needs.
